They went 9-2 in the ACC with a top ten ranking in 2005, so I would say that
Miami's downfall is directly related to the Peach Bowl Beatdowns (Both of them) to LSU. kind of like Illinois (02 Sugar Bowl), and Notre Dame (07 Sugar Bowl). LSU has that kind of effect on programs where we beat them down and then we absolutely devastate the minds of their coaches. So, if (when) aOSU loses, they will be losing more than just a game. We will start to see the down fall of aOSU. A tragic story indeed.

A lame duck who went undefeated in his first season and took an undefeated team into the bowl game the next?

You argument here is that Jim Tressel was outcoached by Larry Coker, who was an always-lame duck coach for seven seasons?

I ran that through the logic computer. It exploded.

All this "lame duck" talk has gotten me hungry. How do you cook a lame duck anyway? I guess he would be easy to catch.

Do me a favor. Go look at their schedule that year. Then, let me know who other than Virginia Tech, they beat that year that is is even remotely nerve inducing, let alone scary on that schedule.

So Tyga73, are you telling us LSU has a propensity for sending teams back into the Dark Ages?

I nominate this for post of the year 2007.

It's all true. No falsehoods, no bias, no exaggerations. Beautifully stated.

PS - We also devastate teams in the middle of the season (see my Bama tribute thread I just put up)

How else do you explain Iowa having 3 straight 10 win seasons, and then falling at least 3 games short of that every year since playing us?
