I agree, on one hand I want to think it will be a close game, on the other hand they played a horrendous schedule and didn't look that good. I know they have talent and maybe benched their starters in the 4th, but shouldnt you put more than 20 on Akron? Or just 38 on a Div II opponent? As far as the speed thing goes, they probably have just as many 4.5 guys as us but we actually know how to use that speed. I would think if OU or FL or UGA played that schedule with their talent they would crush everyone and probably be considered by the media as the greatest team ever. I have a gut feeling that this game will get out of hand as soon as Boekman is pressured and starts throwin' the picks. He is an average QB and that overhyped Beanie Wells cat is in for a long night. I hate OSU more than I hate USC mainly because of their fanbase. :geauxtige
The guy has his hands all over Gamble pushing him back while the ball is in the air. How isnt that a pass int. And the whole tressel can only win with coopers recruits.... Tressels 2002 class Maurice Clarett (Mentally challenged yes) Chris Gamble Micheal Jenkins Mike Nugent AJ Hawk Santonio Holmes Nate Salley Rob Sims Doug Datish Nick Mangold Simon Frasier Lydell Ross The list could go on but these are the guys that played most of the game if not started, and were recruited by Tressel. Oh yeah and every one of these guys were drafted in the NFL. OSU 1-0-1 Alltime against LSU http://http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Who_won_the_Ohio_State_LSU_1989_football_game:thumb:
This thread is NOT about bad calls. You don't lose a game because of one bad call. No one does. If your team is in a situation where one bad call from a ref changes the outcome, you were probably going to lose anyway. To answer the original question: I think Tressel is a terrific coach. tOSU has been tops in the Big 10 for several yrs, and Michigan hasn't beaten him since when??? Just look at his W-L record. :crystal: :geauxtige :crystal: :geauxtige :crystal:
thats your list? pretty terrible to be honest. And I said win a NC w/o cooper's talent. Or any other relevant SEC game. reading is fundamental.
How did Larry Cooker out coach Tressel. OSU was a 28 point underdog to a team that won 30+ straight games in a row, was defending national champions and beat there opponets by and average of 40+ points a game. And OSU won the game, how is that being outcoached. ( Keep in mind my ranting has nothing to do with LSU) From what I have seen for the most part LSU has a good fan base. To make a statement like this without knowing the facts, come on. If your mythological statment makes you some how believe that OSU will Lose because of this WOW.......It just gets better and better
he was outcoached because he actually lost the game by a lame duck coach. And they were 11 1/2 point underdogs. 28? you were close.
Can't let you get away with that. The 2002 Buckeyes were the least naturally-gifted team to go undefeated in memory. Credit goes to the coaching there. Jim Tressel consistently produces results, beats Michigan and has placed his team squarely on top of the Big 10. Regardless of your low opinion of the Big 10, it's not easy to dominate a conference for 6 years running. Back to your "outcoached by Coker" comment. We saw a list of OSU's guys that year. Let's look at what Coker was working with: QB: Ken Dorsey RB: Willis McGahee, Frank Gore WR: Devin Hester, Andre Johnson, Roscoe Parrish TE: Kellen Winslow DB: Antrel Rolle, Sean Taylor (RIP) DE: Jerome McDougle LB: Jonathan Vilma I could put down a lawn chair, read the Wall Street Journal and drink scotch on the sideline and still go undefeated with this team. The minute Tressel's Buckeyes entered the 4th Q with a lead, he was already coaching cirlces around Coker.
