I saw a special "BCS Announcement" show set for 4:30pm on Monday (Don't recall if it's ESPN or ABC). They may drag it out right up to 5pm though.
The answer is maybe. It depends on how we finish in the computer polls. With the scenario you described, we would need to finish second in 6 of the 7 computer polls (which isn't as hard as it seems....we are already second in 3 of them). Also, with that scenario, we wouldn't need any quality win pts from UGA AND USC can stay #2 in both human polls. Of course, you never know with this crappy BCS system.
Cool, thanks. I probably just ASSumed it was Monday since that's the day they are typically released.
There are still people out there that believe LSU has a chance at #2 in one of the media polls?.....simply amazing. Oh well....... In a nutshell, if Syracuse wins, we are in. The other scenario is Bowling Green and a Boise State win gets us in as well. LSU only needs to finish 2nd in 6 of 7 computer polls. Syracuse winning guarantees us 5, we only need to win 1 of 2 remaining computer polls, which we will do. Bowling Green/Boise State combo guarantees only 4 polls, 1 we finish 3rd in, and the other 2 we would have to win. This scenario is a little bit scarier. Go Syracuse!
I don't see why we wouldn't get them in a media poll. These guys are not totally oblivious. We have been gaining ground for 2 weeks. Many are reserved and want to see us in the grand finally before turning to the Purple side. USC just has media clout and the press are seeing them for what they are: 1-1 against teams with a winning record in the PAC-10. Miami of Ohio has a better arguement in big game play for #2 than USC does. A better team beat MoO than USC. I personnally think the MAC is better than the PAC-10 this year.
