What in the hell does “maturity issues” mean? What I visualize is not very flattering!

Nothing wrong with "maturity issues" at my age I have them all the time.

The guy got a lot of love initially, bit I gots to tell you, the gross predictability of our no screen/short pass game keeps us doomed to a good but not great team.

He’s gone. This is not good no matter what way you try to convince yourself it is. The whole scheme Learned this year is now gone. New coach coming in and another year of learning his tendencies. I have a bad feeling Eaux is gonna promote Ensminger. Nothing against him but I just think we need an established OC with a great track record of developing QB’s with a proven offensive mind.

Who knows... Here's another article which references the Canada to Rice story but goes on to predict that Canada is an "85% chance of coming back to LSU" for 2018. https://www.seccountry.com/pwa/sec/lsu/article/even-market-matt-canada-leave-lsu-offseason

Nevertheless, you are right CaryLab... Sooner or later Canada will be a HC meaning LSU will need to transition to a new OC and I agree that LSU can do better than Ensminger as OC, but in the meantime, I heard this morning listening to ESPN Baton Rogue an intriguing opinion regarding Ensminger that he is underused as a TE coach and should be LSU's QB coach.

I heard it too. We don't really need anybody to coach just the tight ends. Let the TE's split their practice time between the OL coach and he WR coach. Ensminger is not seeking the OC job. He is 59 and not one of the hot young gun OC's. But he wouldn't turn it down either. He wouldn't get $1.5 million but if they did go that route he would still make more than he ever made in his life for a couple of years or so. From what I have heard he has a great football mind and he did a great job to do what he did last year with no advance notice.
