SDMan, Glad you know that we're all pulling for you and your family. I know there are a lot of nuts here at TF (just about everyone but me :hihi but we're a sensitive bunch.
Thanks NoLimit and everyone. Cammy was taken off her Nitric Oxide today and so far so good. She did have 1 spell but the nurses said not to worry about it. This is all I know.... Its funny, I wrote 2 posts back to back and then didn't post here for a few days. Not much was happening at the time and I felt a little silly like I was writing a diary? Anyway then Salty bumped it up and others responded! Have a great weekend eveyone!
There is nothing more important that our loved ones. I appreciate you sharing this info will all of us. I just read every post and looked at all the great pics that you posted in this thread. I'm glad to hear that Cammy is doing better now. Reading those first few posts were kinda scary to me. I wish the very best for Cammy and you and the mrs. God Bless you all. You guys will be in my prayers.
SDM, how is your son holding up with you and your wife being at the hospital so much? Does he ask much about his baby sister? God bless Cammy--may you go home soon!
Thanks Mr. Peabody, Hi Stacey, Actually Tyler goes with us to the hospital, he couldn't see his sister until the flu season was over but he always went to the daycare there or one of us walked around with him or stopped by the cafeteria or snack bar there. He has to have chocolate milk out of the machine before we live the hospital or he has a fit, its funny, some of the little routines he has to do first before the second one. Sometimes I think he thought Cammy was a part of our immagination for quite some time until he saw her about a month ago. Usually he goes and sees her with us now. Kim and I have also taken turns on select days also, that way we all don't go to the hospital everyday and he has a normal day. Today we gave her a bath, she seems to be doing great. Last I heard they were going to look at her throat, haven't heard anything since last week, it all seems to be a mystery all of a sudden, maybe we will find out more next week. Tyler saw her today and the last few things all he can talk about is her when we're there such as Baby Cammy is sleeping, crying, etc. Sometimes we tell him she will come home with us one day and I'm not sure what he thinks about that.
Oops, I forgot, The first visit he saw her, I kissed her head and he came up behind me and said something like Daddy, heres Tyler. I don't remember exact words but that was the message, already a little bit of jealousy brewing?
Get used to it. It's fun walking in from work and having two of them fighting for attention. It makes you feel good after having a bad day.:hihi:
My daughter, Sloane, was traumatized for about the first three weeks that Skylar was here, but now with Skylar nearly three months old, Sloane treats her like she's always been here and has always been part of our family. Of course, she can't wait for Skylar to actually "do something" besides lie on her back. The biggest breakthrough came just last week. I had gone to pick up Sloane at preschool, and several of Sloane's friends ran over to the baby carrier to see Skylar. Sloane jumped in front of the carrier, put her hands in front of Skylar's face, and yelled, "Don't touch my baby sister!"
Saw Cammy today, she is doing very well. The nurse said she no longer needs oxygen, her saturation is good without it but she will continue to be on it as medicine, just like viagra and Triclear. She might even come home next week? OK, before you get to excited, Cammy will be on these medicines for years. She had/has a severe case of pulmonary hypertension which means she will be looked after for years, she may even need this medicine for her entire life. I don't know? The doctors have said they will follow her closely for years! OK, now be excited, I just wanted you to realize Cammy isn't coming home perfectly healthy but all signs are now looking very good and promising. Thank you all for all of your prayers and support.
