Hey, SD, chin up friend. It sounds like she is getting stronger. Prayers are powerful. You have to be strong for mom and the little one. Stay positive and don't give up hope. She'll be fine. :thumb:

SDM, your strength is awe-inspiring to me. Trying to take care of two children is a challenge enough, and you are involved in something so much more monumental. The fact that you have kept as positive as you have is a show of how strong you are.

    We'll keep the prayers coming.

It could've been worse, If I didn't live in Denver and lived in Baton Rouge.
We would've had to go to Denver or NYC because she had severe Pulmonary
    Hypertension.
Those are the only 2 places in the country with the specialists in that field.
Having said that it still isn't easy, Cammy has been in the hospital since the
day she was born 2/3/05, she actually started off better then started declining at about 3 weeks old.
That made things harder, seemed like a trick?

I cried the day she was born when I found out she had Down Syndrome but
that really seems like such a small thing looking back on it compared to what
was in store for us the last 3 months or so.

Just talked to the nurse, she was really happy about Cammy's progress since
she last had her on Thursday.
She said that she sounded so much better.

So Cammy today, she is doing very well.
The doctors plan to do an ecko on her heart a little later this week.
She is no longer on a Cpap or ventilator and doing well.

She has been awake and alert some the last 2 days.
I love it when she has these little smiles from time to time and I wonder whats going
    through that little mind.

Thank You Everyone and God Bless...
I will pick some new pics sometime soon but no promises until I find out what the Doctors plans are next because there seems to be one more procedure ahead of
    her coming home.

I hope that your stress levels will go down immensely when she gets out of that hospital. Hospitals are soooo depressing. I know you and your wife need a break.

Here's to seeing that girl at home soon.

My prayers are with Cammy, of course. But I also thank God that Cammy was born to parents who LOVE her and that are strong and are there for her. God bless you.

    Thank You Red and Saltyone,
No real news until just a bit ago, she is doing well.
They have moved her out of NICU to ICC today and hopefully this will be the end of our setbacks, we have been to ICC before,(2 months) then she had to go back to NICU.
Infant Care Center vs Newborn Intensive Care Unit for those who don't know the
    language.

Same here. I have the bigget softspot for very young children (but really, who doesn't, I guess). I really just hate to see anyone suffer, especially such completely innocent beings. Sourdough, may God bless yourself and your family with the power and strength to make it though such an unbearably trying time. No one should have to go through things of this nature. From the deepest regions of my heart, I give my best to you and yours. Peace.
