Sourdough, you are truly blessed. Looks like that little girl is in great hands with the parents she has.
Cammy had her checkup with Cardiology on Friday. They did an Echo and an EKG, the doctors thought they looked fantastic, showed an improvement from the last time she was there in June. They are planning to see her in April next, they are also talking about doing a cardio Calf on her at that time. They have decided that she will only be on sildenafil now and won't increase it to adjust for her weight to see if it makes a difference. I guess I misunderstood about her pulmonary hypertension being gone. What I mean is that they won't know until they totally take her off the sildenafil or cut the dose down or both. Worse case guess from myself is if they take her off the medicine and it begins to come back, she will have to take sildenifil the rest of her life. But we deal with one thing at a time and remain positive, there are people out there with worse cases than us at this point. Dr. Ivey told one of his new nurses that Cammy had severe pulmonary hypertension when she was a baby, that was just a reminder at how far we've come. Thanks for your support and prayers, love you all and the LSU Tiger nation including some of the great rival posters we have! (I still pray about Preston and Ellen as much as I can) Geaux Tigers!
Sounds great SDM. I haven't posted much lately in this thread, but rest assured that the prayers have been going up daily. I expect big things out of Cameron. You keep being strong. It feels like we've all kinda grown to love and adopt Cameron as our own. Give her a kiss from all of us.
Just a quick update for everyone. Cammy is now 2 years old and goes to sleep every night with head phones listening to various music such as Elton John, John Denver, Styx, Beatles, etc. As a fake musician meaning hobbyist I have a broad range of music tastes, almost everything other than rap which I don't consider music. She also loves watching concerts on tv! She sways and bebops to the music at times. She also loves hair and shoes and she notices you when something is different about your hair, its easy to tell that she is a girl! She is beginning to walk and took 3 or 4 baby steps numerous times last nite. Let me tell you that I didn't realize you could learn anything from having kids or a baby but Cammy is determined like no other kid that I've ever known. She had an appointment with her pediatrician and everything seems all good. She has a meeting with her cardiologist in April and I am hoping to have more good news on the way! Thank You all
I was just thinking about Cammy the other day. Praise God that she is doing so much better. As always I will contiue to pray for her. K
