That is the most ridiculous BS that I have ever heard and if Auburn fries like I want them to, and like I think they are going to, and yet Cam still gets to keep the Heisman and they are still crowned SEC Champs and Natl Champs, I will probably vomit every time I think of it, just for the sheer audacity of it and the feeling that everything I love about college football is nothing more than a tainted whore, who you thought was your wife, cleaning out your bank accounts before stabbing you in the back. PS--Its absolutely sickening to read posts from the oblivious Auburn folks on ESPN. They're all saying "See, we told you so. He's never done anything wrong, even the FBI couldn't find anything!!! Miss State is gonna get screwed!!! Auburn is squeaky clean, though and we're gonna be Natl Champs, so in your face!!!!! They seem to have ignored the fact that 1. the investigation is not yet over 2. Cam and his father actually DID break the rules but they are somehow not being held accountable due to a conniving NCAA and SEC 3. the FBI was not investigating Cam but just got involved when the money trail reached him 4. and there seems to be a lot more going on besides the pay for play with Auburn and they need to be worrying about that. Here's to seeing Cam, Cecil, and Auburn where they belong........doused with **** and crying like bitches in the prison bathroom.
"I have found some kind of temporary sanity in this _____ , _____, and _____ on my hands" hell yeah, time to listen to some tool.
Shane you felt the same as I did when I was listening to these guys. Sick to my stomach. If this is what is happening you are right, it will just prove that college sports, football for sure at least, is nothing more than a huge money making machine that those in charge will **** anybody and everybody to make sure they get their hands on the big prize. It will ruin the core of why I love college sports, as well as many college sports fans. To have the element that makes it different than professional completely tainted by the corporate aholes that run the thing. There is one thing to know that it is big business, and know that big money is part of the game, but to have the element of ,the kids take pride in who they play for because they love their school, they don't get paid, they love the sport, all taken away because even for them it really is only about the money. For me there is only 2 solutions to this, 2 solutions that keep the college sports fan loyal to the core; either they find AU/Cam guilty and smack them for everything and take it all away, or they find cold hard evidence that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are innocent.
You had better have a tremendous amount of faith in the system then, at this point and any point hereafter, in my opinion, justice will not prevail! Auburn and Cam will come out of this smelling like a rose, even with all the improprieties evidenced thusfar. The great institution of college football has been tarnished by none other than C-note, the NCAA and the SEC.
Which unfortunately is probably what will happen. Not unfortunate that they don't bring the hammer down, but unfortunate that they are going to let this decision they have made ride and hope the college football fan base swallows this pill. Leaving, as you put it, a tarnished image of the great institution of college sports, and college sports fans slowly falling away from why they love college sports in the first place.
i would love too, but what am i wrong about? i was just saying i love the song eulogy by tool. was shane doing a trivia question or something? see maybe i don't need to take another hit, because i'm lost.
Well the Newton Decision as expected has opened up a can of worms. [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=5880507"]Kentucky asks NCAA to take second look at Enes Kanter's eligibilty - ESPN[/ame] "Kentucky is hopeful that the same committee will now look differently at the case after the Newton decision. " Surprise Surprise....
With USC having a scheduled appeal in a few months, watch for them to do the same. It wouldn't surprise me if USC ended up getting their ruling overturned. Then USC turn around and sue the NCAA, now that would be rich.
