I don't know what you're referring to about reality TV.

I do know that I have an inlaw who's an FBI agent (One who kicks in doors) and Several Retired FBI agents who are customers of mine...all of whom I got my info from. And the only reason they told me was that it's in the papers already.

I'm sure that's a lot better than your sources.

If all this FBI stuff is true then there is really no point in everyone getting so worked up over ever shred of info that comes out. People are watching this case like it is about to break any moment. Federal investigations take years and then it will have to go through the criminal courts. All of that will have to be decided before the NCAA can make it's ruling. Just like in the Reggie Bush case except there is a federal not a civil matter to contend with first. Might even take longer.

I think the FBI should look into the Bristol Palin voting thing on Dancing With The Stars!

I'm not surprised you don't know.

Look, I know I am being an ass about it, but it just infuriates me when people start acting like little girls at a slumber party.

You said just about all the BOT are caught up in an FBI investigation. That's just not true. Lowder and Rane are connected with Colonial. No one else is. And what does it have to do with Newton's problems ? Nothing.

I got no problem piling on Auburn, Alabama, whoever. Especially if they are dirty. I actually don't want them to get the death penalty because it would be bad for the SEC. But if they are dirty, they deserve to get knee-capped.

You are just making **** up and it reflects poorly on you and on the LSU fanbase. Stop.

You accuse me of watching reality TV too much
You call me a girl at a slumber party
You accuse me of making sh!t up
You are telling me to shut up
You are telling me that I am an embarrassment to the LSU fanbase.

If you are perturbed because of a possible slight exageation about how many BOT members will eventually be tied to Colonial, there are more mature ways of expressing yourself.

About the only thing that you said that was true was that you are "being an ass about it."

I'll not dignify you by responding to you any more...It doesn't mean that much to me.

They (FBI) do not investigate NCAA violations, but would they not get involved in this situation since the allegations are so inter-connected? I'm not an attorney; I genuinely don't know the answer. Just seems to me the NCAA may be playing second fiddle on this investigation, which means it could take quite a while before anything concrete is decided.

All in all, AU seems to be in quite a pickle.

    You just proved my point.

    Thanks. I guess.

The FBI might feel inclined to turn information over to the NCAA with all the fluff going on, but they are a federal agency inforcing federal laws. There's no federal law against pay for play and there's no federal law against financial incentification. What the Newton's have reportedly done is only a violation of NCAA by-laws, unless they violate a tax law, which is IRS jurisdiction. Even fixing a few slot machines for an individual's benefit for bonus purposes isn't against federal law... not reporting the income is, however.
It is more than ironic that the Newton news came out in the midst of an FBI investigation of their biggest booster. However, Ben Franklin wasn't flying his kite in hopes of discovering electricity, it just happened. He was shocked.

Moral: Don't ask for money when it's illegal and don't fly a kite when it's raining.

Who knows what all they have or how deep it actually goes. I was just looking at it (whatever "it" turns out to be) as fed involvement since the father lives in Ga. and allegations involve Miss. and Alabama, in other words across state lines. Could just be the stuff of conspiracy theory, but if there were a "if you do or don't do this, then we will do that", which could then amount to extortion? Probably reading waaaaay too much into it. Makes for good reading, though; no denying how fascinating it is.

There's got to be a movie in this story somewhere... but we don't yet know the identities of all the bad guys...

Guess I'll wait a while to start cooking the popcorn!
