Couple of thoughts (Well my opinions)
    1. AUburn could care less about LSU and a possible Snub
    2. I hate to say it even if Auburn gets knocked out OR their games are vacated. LSU still wont make the National Title game unless TCU, BSU, Wisconsin, and Oregon all lose a game as well. Frankly I am very concerned we even beat Arkansas. LSU is a great team but this one makes me very nervous. So I cannot even think about all that right now.
    3. Auburn will never admit any mistakes the MAY have done, and will ride it out. That is already clear. If there is a fire with Auburn, they have done it appears an amazing job of covering it up. They know that, so they have a "catch me if you can" attitude.
    4. NOTHING will be decided anytime soon, if Auburn goes undefeated and wins the title, it will be a couple of years before anything happens I think. Auburn knows that and doesnt care.

In short, as they say they are "All In" knowing there is a good chance they are going to be beat on the river card....

    1) ... I totally agree.

    2) ... I totally disagree. I think in the end, LSU jumps both Boise and TCU if they win out. If Oregon loses a game, LSU likely jumps them as well if AU's wins are vacated. It could very well be an LSU vs ??? game if Oregon loses 1 game.

    3) Auburn faculty already knows they are guilty on much more serious federal charge ..... they know they are going down ... BUT .. they will ensure that their sacrifice is not for nothing .. they will try their best to win the NC.

    4) ... I agree .. and that is why #3 above is true.

Right NOW ... LSU just needs to think about AR! Don't think for a minute that that game is going to be easy. Never is. If past history serves itself ... AR will win [seems to be the pattern .. the underdog in terms of ranking always wins]

There's a very good chance Auburn could join USC as the only schools with a fake ring and a vacated ring.

Well, if so that is why they can never be forgiven. This is like one of those boot camp movies where one person has done something wrong, but the drill seargant doesn't know who. So he has the whole platoon out standing in the sun without water until someone confesses. At that point it has become less about the original sin and more about how much will you let your peers get screwed on your behalf.

You may be right. However, don't forget (if LSU beats Ark) that LSU may have 1 loss, but it was a dirty loss to a dirty team who bought the best team cheating can buy. Then add in the SEC's performance in the title game. Then add in LSU's performance in the NC the last 10 years. I see no way they can legitimately leave out a 1 (bogus) loss SEC team. The SEC is the champ until someone takes their throne. You can't keep the champ out of the championship fight. If Boise St. and TCU wanted more respect then they should play in a better conference. You cant play a bunch of quasi-high school teams and expect respect. LSU could drop out of the SEC and just play Tulane, McNeese, Troy State, Rice etc the whole season. Would be a rare year they arent undefeated.

If so thats stupid. Only an idiot could dream of getting away with it if the FBI is investigating and with all the allegations that have already surfaced. The University's president should step in and sit some people...they can do that without admitting guilt, but should fess up if its true.

it would be interesting to see if AU was 4-7 right now (or something similar) if they would change their strategy about this mess.

    Roynav,
I am not arguing IF LSU beats Arkansas we deserve a shot, but I also admit if there is ONE school who cannot bitch about the BCS its us. Lets just be honest we have been on the good side of the BCS twice. Now it appears both time they got it right because LSU won both games (One handily)

I just think the blowhards in the media want Boise and TCU so bad in the title game, and many think LSU is lucky to be there I have a feeling we WILL be left out. You saw it yourself last week with our squeeker over Ole Miss.

So again, I always think a 1 loss SEC team is better than any other conference champion. But we have already gotten some breaks, and like it or not its not decided on the field, its decided by some rube at ESPN or some sportswriters who live in Oregon.

It is what it is. But I truly believe IF (Big If) we beat Arkansas we will be left out no matter what happens.....

With USC I really thought them not talking (or Bush & family, really) that there was going to be a plausible explanation. I felt there was somewhat of an odd confidence. Actually I took more of a wait and see approach but really did assume innocent til proven guilty. I was so wrong and regretted defending those dirty birds.

My impression now is that some felt they were above the rules and that they wouldn't get caught. And in fairness to any USC fans, I know it was RB and family but the atmosphere PC allowed with agents free to roam the field/locker room, to me, is like thumbing their nose at the rest of CFB.

I guess being an up front & honest person makes me naively assume honesty from others even though I've been disappointed many times with peoples' lack of.

I felt the same with Auburn, initially; however, the more it goes the more I think there's some fire somewhere in all that smoke. Like others have stated, if someone accused me of shopping my kid I'd be setting them straight and be dam if I'd keep my trap shut.

Auburn will not and cannot ever admit to knowing anything about this at all or they will receive the dreaded "lack of institutional control" charge. They will claim they know nothing and if it was a booster (likely) they will throw him under the bus and try to get off lightly. The NCAA will have to make its case without Auburn help. Auburn has more NCAA major infractions than any other SEC team and will not get much slack if they are found guilty.
