i have family that works there...im there every christmas beautiful campus and beautiful area! and please dont bring baseball into this discussion :rolleye33:
Thank you...I didnt feel like typing it. Yes...TCU will have a good run once every few decades (if that) and will post some wins with that schedule. But they will return to little ole TCU very quickly when the coaching staff gets raided...or if they join a real conference. Look, I love that little school. I wouldnt mind seeing my kids go there....but the size, location, academic standards, and lack of money...they will never be able to compete with the powerhouses week after week and year after year.
With the NCAA having suggested to AU they should sit Cam before their last game you'ld think that pressure could be mounting. I would think AU would take into consideration how USC almost thumbed their nose at the NCAA over the Bush scandle. But it probably won't matter, because whatever this turns out to be could crush them no matter what their attitude.
What's amazing to me is that a lack of institutional control can be inferred with the president and company being over ruled in playing the QB last saturday. Auburn is playing with semantics in the first place, but from Sept. on while all theses SEC teams were sitting their all-american players, simply because there was an accusation, no evidence, Auburn continues to do things their way. Much like NC, GA, SC, Bama, September is when they should have gotten this thing right. Being all in, in November, is kinda like being 100 miles down the road in the get away car with the law closing fast.
"With the NCAA having suggested to AU they should sit Cam before their last game you'ld think that pressure could be mounting." Is this true ? I cannot find that anywhere. The NCAA suggested to Auburn that they sit CAM ?
That's what was being said by all the media last week before their game. Tusk that's just my point. Should AU be shown to not really be involved, but the NCAA rules that Cam is at fault, their risking the NCAA's wrath for going against their suggestions.
No, at least not that I've seen. I think much was read into the following: NCAA could ask Newton to sit - College Football - Rivals.com But did they, really?
USC pulled a running back Baxter this week for potential agent contact, if you think that auburn is acting as they should with all of these accusations you are dillusional. They are saying screw the future, we must win now and we cannot win without this one player. Great message, one player is more important than the whole team, the school, etc... They will get what they deserve, those that defend these cheating, dirty MF's should be ashamed.
True we simply really don't know one way or the other for 100% what the NCAA may have done. That said you'ld think that AU would follow the same leads as some other programs have followed just knowing the NCAA was investigating them. Being proactive and displaying institutional control is never a bad thing. Example look at how we have handled a few possible issues over the past few yrs, and how it turned out for us. AU thumbing their noses at the NCAA just to ensure their competitive edge and hope to continue down the success road they are on, won't be worth what might happen to them.
Yeah I agree that I'd err on the side of caution but I guess their thinking is they don't have much chance of winning without him so either way they're screwed. :hihi: And all his involved was taking a ride on a golf cart across campus from two students...one an agent. This is from a USC forum, joking about what they did to the golf cart as a self-imposed penalty.
