To me it's pretty simple, who's signature and abilities were being sold, yeh he knows.

Yes .. I'm aware of that. I'm guessing that is why the NCAA told AU they need to consider the eligibility of Cam before the GA game. They are not at liberty to act now, but the University is ..... kinda like .... ya better sit the guy .. .hint hint.

The only problem I have with the perspective is that the FBI has already gotten its indictments back in October according to the TD site. Therefore, any information associated with the indictments should be free to be used. ... and I'm guessing all the wire-tap and money trail info associated with those, is allowable now.

It's still going to stink if AU is allowed to win out the NC, effect decisions on bowls, effect decisions on titles ..... only to have it all vacated in the spring.

Absolutely, but unfortunately that is probably how it will pan out.
To those that are of the opinion that they don’t think that LSU deserves to go to the SECCG because AU beat us fair and square, I really want to know, should it be proven that Cam is ineligible, what is fair and square about losing to a team, by 7 pts, with a player that is ruled ineligible. A player that shouldn’t be playing for any team in college sports. If one thinks we would have lost that game had Cam not been on that team I would say go back to last season when they didn’t have him, or even better take away the TD’s he was responsible for and see what the score is then.

AU without Cam ain’t nothing. Did we lose, yes, would we had he not been there, no. That is the argument that those who believe the NCAA and SEC should be able to and should act before the end of the season, because if they do and AU has all of it’s wins vacated, we go to the SECCG and have a strong chance for the MNC.

While it is fun to speculate I think you have to take the "report" on TD as it is...fiction until proven otherwise. If there were an inkling that any of this were true, ESPN would be all over it

Technically Arkansas still has a shot at the SECCG if Auburn would have to vacate wins.

I know. The board seems to be stuck in an 11-1 time warp.

I wish the Iron Bowl was on Saturday so gameday could be there, bet there would have been some great signs.

Add to that ..... Cam Newton wanted to play at MSU. I think we can all agree that AU would not have beat us without Cam ...HOWEVER .... we can't say that MSU would have beat us with Cam. We spanked MSU 29-7. Even if you add Cams 14 points or so to the mix .... theoretically, LSU would have still won.

People can say that AU is all Cam Newton, but this is not true. AU is the combination of Cam and the rest of the team. AU O-Line is pretty awsome ..... what role does that play in Cam's play? McCalleb is an awsome back as well .... what role does that play in Cam's success? Then also, you have Malzan running the AU offense .... MSU doesnt' have that.

I'm as much for deciding on the field as anyone ... but college football is not supposed to be like Pro Football, where you buy the best of the best and create a super-allstar team. That .. is essentially what the AU boosters have done.

No one could replace Auburn in the SEC including their history and tradition (excluding the cheating ).

Also, Florida will NOT allow FSU in the SEC, TAMU will not leave without Texas, and TCU would be equivalent to Vandy/Miss St in the SEC.
