I congratulate you on not wanting to be a homer, or have a double standard for LSU. Thats noble. But its really not that "plain & simple" if Auburn cheated. If you play a hand of poker and lose because your opponent was cheating, would you still be content to say a loss is a loss? How bout LSU went out and bought the best QB in the country, the best RB and what the hell, the best wide receiver. Then they stomped Auburn. A legit win? Fundamental principle #3: Never reward cheating.
If Auburn is guilty, big IF, then they almost certainly get the death penalty. Maybe even get kicked out of the SEC.
This is an amazing story bassed on how good Cam turned out to be. He leads Auburn through the SEC and will win all of it. SEC and BCSNC If they have the dirt and proof of the dirt it will all come out before the Bama game. The SEC ground control happens to be slanted toward Bama so I expect something to come down before the Bama game. LSU wins out and ends up in Atlanta.
Dandy is seeing just what I am seeing Good morning, Tiger Fans. Tiger fans are starting to get fired-up for Saturday's contest against Ole Miss at Tiger Stadium, especially because of late developing information on the Cam Newton situation at Auburn. If half the information I am hearing is true, Auburn will be in deep trouble with the NCAA and SEC for serious recruiting infractions. I have sort of remained quiet about the story and will continue to take the wait and see approach, but regardless of what happens with the Newton case LSU has to take care of business to have any chance of playing in the BCS national championship game, and that means staying focussed on the tasks at hand, starting with beating Ole Miss this Saturday.
Nope. You can put me in that corner too. At the very least, all of the major conferences and the NCAA are very good at doing ostrich impersonations. They don't really want to know. Stop to consider. The BCS is actually a cabal, or even cartel, whose sole purpose is to hoard the bowl season tv cash for themselves. That's why they exist, and that's why the convoluted rules they wrote up exist. Anyone who pays attention understands this, and that includes the players. So why wouldn't they want to get their share of the loot? The system breeds corruption.
If you go through that post, and break down each individual act, it's very unsettling. Because when I read it, I didn't have any problem at all, believing that these banker/casino owner/lawyer/booster jackasses would do the things that post accuses them of doing. I'm not saying that the claims are all accurate, just that they are sadly believable.
Cam could have said"I am a grown man and it's my life and I'm going to Mississippi state and don't care what you want. Stay out of this dad". He said "the money was too much". To say cam is innocent and knows nothing of this is foolish.
I just can't believe that the SEC office will just sit back and watch as Auburn brings down the entire SEC reputation after playing in the SEC Championship game and then the BCS game only to after the fact face massive sanctions. That just makes no sense to me. Why kill the goose that laid the golden egg? They should make it plain to Auburn they barf up the truth before the SEC Champ. game or else if it comes out later they will get the goddamn death penalty. Auburn needs to demonstrate some loyalty to the conference.
