A middle school board, maybe. Worth visiting for some cheap laughs, but going to them for information is like watching the Daily Show for news.
If you were an Auburn fan, and I told you before Cam signed his LOI, that this would happen, and you could possibly win the national championship, but it would be stripped at a later date, and may get your team some major punishment for violations, would you still want him? I have to think Auburn lusts for relevancy so much, that they wouldn't mind the repercussions.
Think about it though, when you think of cheaters in the SEC, who are the 2 schools that pop into mind first? I mean does Alabama suck so bad that football is the only means for the state to feel good about itself?
On TMZ: "According to sources connected to the probe ... FBI agents looking into the Newton recruiting controversy are also asking about Milton McGregor -- a dog track owner arrested last month for allegedly bribing Alabama politicians to vote pro gambling. We're told agents asked someone connected to the Newton case if he was familiar with McGregor or the bribery scandal. It's unclear what, if any, direct connection McGregor has to Newton. Back in 2008, McGregor did donate a million bucks toward construction of a new arena at Auburn. McGregor did not return a call for comment."
I was thinking more along the lines that Saban will claim that he created serious pressure on Auburn, which caused them to cheat. Honestly, it isn't that far-fetched.
gotcha. saban is so awesome that the only way auburn could keep up was to cheat. yeah i can see him telling himself that in the mirror, or on his personal web chat to himself.
The shift from MSU was expected and here it is. Some rumors that they have McGregor on wiretaps discussing Cam. TMZ Sports | TMZ.com
This gets more interesting by the day. Now we get a Michael Vick twist to the story. Dog fighting guru funds the pay for play sig of Cam Newton. Just adds the the thug mentality that is starting to show itself within the AU football program.
