Yeah Auburn "doing what they do" has gotten them in a heap of trouble over the years. Why is it that in the SEC those 2 schools have the 2 historically dirtiest programs?

The SEC home office should be moved to Atlanta.

I was kinda wondering about that as well. They don't have an NFL team, so maybe with all their eggs in one basket, I guess they get desperate?? I don't know, just throwing something out there.

It’s one thing to not wish that anything comes of this because you don’t want the crippling of the NCAA to fall on your program, but it is another to absolutely close your eyes to everything that is being reported just so you can make yourself feel better. AU fans better wake up, this isn’t going away without some solid answers and right now the answers Cam and his father are giving raise more questions than they do convince anyone that they haven’t done anything.

I really hope for Cam and AU’s sake this turns out to be nothing. If this is some smear campaign by one of the other SEC schools, MSU or UF I hope they get what they should have coming to them. If this turns out to be true then Cam and AU deserve what they have coming also. The problem I see with the smear campaign idea is MSU really doesn’t have anything to gain by doing so. Yes, they lost Cam, but I really wouldn’t think that a case of sour grapes would cause MSU to open up this can of worms. Added to that regardless of what happens to Cam the release of the information about cheating would end MSU in hot water. Whoever did that, if it is connected to one of the universities is going to be facing some pretty stiff penalties.

Bottom line if I were an AU fan I wouldn’t be so cavalier about this situation. Cam is a great athlete and is doing great things for the AU football season, but to close your eyes, cry foul, and blame everyone else claiming they are all just jealous is something I would warn them not to do. If it turns our Cam and his father have done something shaddy the AU fans are going to look like idiots to everyone else and will have no one to blame but themselves.

I can't grasp why Auburn fans are being so delusional. I would be so concerned that possibly one of my teams players may end up making the whole season forfeit. Apparently not at all, according to some Auburn fans the media is just trying to make Cam Newton look bad.
If I remember right the media loved Cam as this good kid, greath Athlete come back story. He was well on his way to a Nobel Prize at that point.

All programs have delusional fans, this board if full of them. I basically agree with legacy tiger and yourself on this... it's a no brainer. Auburn fans are running from the Truth. I know it sucks, they just need to bite the bullet and do what must be done or their whole program is in serious doo-doo.

According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, Auburn has been notified by the NCAA of a potential eligibility issue and now AU has to decide if they are going to take the risk and play him this week and the rest of the season.

AU has no comment of his eligibility at this time.

How much does the SEC commish hate this? If the refs hose the barners in a close game, the conspiracy theorists will go wild!

Au is already screwed. If cam is innocent and cleared by the NCAA it won't be stated for sure into after this years recruits sign. If I were a star recruit and even thought that the school I was going to sign with may be slamed by the NCAA I would pick another school. There is no way I would risk not being on live tv or being banned from bowl games. If cam is guilty then the same is true. Who wants to play for a school that can't go to a bowl game. They would still get good players but not like they would have before all of this. From a recruiting standpoint their already screwed. I can't stand au but I hate this for the rep of the sec. I'm sure the gumps are loving it.
