Its VERY hard for me to believe Chizik doesnt know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING regarding this situation and everything else that goes on with that football team
I'm curious but.. couldn't these news agencies be sued for slander by the newtons if it weren't credible? So they must feel it's the truth?
This is a real black eye for the SEC. I think they push this to a conclusion before the SECCG as much as they are able (either Newton, his family and Auburn are not guilty of anything, or Newton is out and Auburn is hit we penalties). I don't think the SEC wants a team in the SECCG with this kind of cloud over them. ldskule:
i don't think so, unless they are just flat out lying about what they have said and it can be proven that they are lying. They can get in trouble however for leaking information that is supposed to be confidential, and that would be the cheating on tests and whatnot. and one more thing, if someone makes an accusation through an article or writing about someone, and it is proven to be false, that is libel, not slander.
Yesterday I found that Finebaum show on XM. What a horrible horrible show. Crappy timing, retarded guests and callers, and finebaum is just a bad host. In the 20 minutes i listened on my drive home, There were about 5 spots where there was dead air for 10-15 seconds -- like he was reading the newspaper and forgot to talk.
I would agree with this if the SEC was the one leading the investigation....only it is the NCAA that is running the investigation and it goes with their time line (ie Bush/USC approximately 5 yrs). However, Auburn isnt near the money maker USC is and with the circus that turned out to be (almost destroying the value of THE trophy)....I think they speed this one up as much as possible. That said, I wouldnt be surprised to be posting in this thread on Nov 11, 2015.
I love how they miss appropriate the blame. Just like Bama with Fulmer. If found guilty, the people they should be pissed at are the Cam, his family, and the booster that gave them money.
