    Matt Hayes of Sporting News:

Cam Cameron is an unreal hire for @LSUFball Going to be interesting to see Mettenberger develop.

I like that he said he's seen every game LSU has played the last 8 years. That means he's been a longtime fan and probably felt the same frustrations that we all have. So many of us wish we could step in and do something about it, and Cam gets to do it.

    I'm excited about this.

More likely he started watching film in the months after Miles contacted him. Its unlikely an NFL OC would have many Saturdays free to watch college ball. Either way he should see he has work to do.

Its all good. Miles realized a change was needed and he found somone he really trusts. Cam has been and still is doing his homework. With the talent LSU brings in yearly he has to succeed or his reputation as an OC is finished. I think he adds the TE and RB to the passing game and the LSU offense takes off.

Many Pro coaches I know follow the college game/ teams. They record games and when they have time, watch them. Many coaches just like watching other teams play. I made a Super Bowl party with a bunch of college coaches one time, fun to see some of their input during the game.

Or being he's an old friend of Les', he takes time out of his day to support his buddy and watch the football team he coaches. I like this guy, if all he does is bring TEs in to the passing game and helps develop and recruit QBs... we have more than we've had in a long time. I think the road to the NC just got a lot tougher for the gumps...

Don't know how much he can do with Mett in only one year and with questionable WR talent (prove me wrong!). But its a great hire for LSU. A necessary hire. Hats off to Les on this one.

Also great news Studs is staying.
