Old hat to some, but Les made the announcement this morning, so I figured it deserved its own thread: http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=206414261 Offensive coaching changes as expected: Stud to OL, Krag with an administrative job. I assume there will be a press conference at some point.
I only saw a small part about how he was really happy to be coaching with an old friend. Video is up on LSUSPORT.NET, but i dint have flash on my phone.
The one thing that I would imagine will concern was when he said that he would use Les and would not make exclude him completely from play calling. I'm paraphrasing but that was the drift
... On Dec. 10, 2012, the day Cameron was fired by Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh, Miles reached out to Cameron immediately. “I texted him immediately,” Miles said Friday after LSU introduced Cameron as its new offensive coordinator in a press conference. ... “This move is designed to put us in line with a championship.” ... Miles said he looks forward to Cameron being at LSU for more than a year. “We’ve tied him to his desk. He’s not going to be allowed to leave here," Miles joked before turning serious. "You know what, he’s made a real commitment to being here." ... Cameron: "For me and my family, it doesn’t get any better than this.” [also, per numerous tweets, Cameron called job at LSU "chance of a lifetime"] http://www.theadvertiser.com/articl...-did-not-hesitate-his-recruitment-Cam-Cameron
tweet about an hour ago from the Saturday sports talk show for WDUC, a radio station in central Tennessee, about an hour from Nashville: Big move by #LSU hiring Cam Cameron. He'll be a good fit with the personnel at his disposal in Baton Rouge.
I like how he has said he has watched the last 8 years of LSU games. If he was only watching offense aside from a few games it was probably an few hours worth. More so the last few years due to the 3 and outs. As an OC he had to have cringed watching the last two bowl games... Glad he is on board.
