Hurricane Florence rain totals. You said something about more rain . . . . .

Does North Carolina constitute the entire globe? Further, Meterologist have established that the rainfall totals of Harvey and Florence were not due to global warming or CO2, but to jet stream blocking, ie weather, not climate.

From August, and now we see the result of inaction.

"private landowners would be able to cut trees up to 36 inches in diameter — up from the current 26 inches — on property of 300 acres or less without getting a timber harvest permit from the state, as long as their purpose was to thin forests to reduce fire risk. They also would be able to build roads of up to 600 feet long without getting a permit, as long as they repaired and replanted them."

Not revolutionary but it's something. And the wacko environmentalist says, "We acknowledge there is a problem,” said Kim Delfino, California program director for Defenders of Wildlife, an environmental group. “The idea of trying to get a handle on it is a good thing. But this is an over reach. You don’t need to be putting such large trees on the chopping block."

Guess what....fire doesn't discriminate based on the size of the tree. These morons will cling to their bullshit at the expense of life, homes, pets, AND their precious species which also burned to a crisp this week.

I returned to Bay area after weekend in La. to smoke that looks like a fog bank. They are telling everyone in bay area to stay inside when possible. Their are area that are considered as so much smoke that it is hazardous to human life just breathing it and are recommending people get face protection especially for kids. Actually closing some schools in certain areas considered hazardous. Livermore is currently one of them.

They were forecasting a slight bit of rain this weekend but that has changed. Because their is so much smoke the draft normally from the Golden Gate area has been stopped by the smoke effect and the weather has been stalled off the coast.

But by all means lets let animals and people die and not do anything to stop thick dry forests and their risk of devastating fires.

Coming up with a plan to clear out and manage some of these areas might save lives You cant just scream global warming you have to be proactive in helping the fire fighters address better ways to stop these fires before they happen. Part of the problem is Pacific Gas and Electric not managing their lines properly and they have started some of the fires.
