who said anything about pleasure being only received? i said the act being pleasurable, not being a selfish pig. pleasure can be given and received with that being the only desired outcome of sex. im arguing that procreation does not have to be a factor at all. that engaging in the activity for purposes other than procreation is not "depraved". and that if god wanted it to always be a factor he could have made sex not so pleasurable in its own right. or he could have made woman to ovulate all the time. i'll tell you when. when you have just received and ultra-sound and told "yep, got some good eggs there", pumped full of even more hormones, and sent out the door with "go have sex today". ummm.... ok. kinda takes a lot of the romance and "hotness" factor out to be under "doctor's orders" to do it. sex toy is your word, not mine. the other side of that argument is looking at a spouse as a potential baby machine every time one has sex. that reduces a woman to nothing more than an incubator, and a man a sperm donor. a sexual relationship with procreation being no factor at all, is not a bad thing. receiving and giving sexual pleasure only for the sake of sexual pleasure is not a bad thing.
what i dont understand is why cant 2 women, or men, just be in love with each other? Why does the homosexual stereotype consist of same sex couples just in a dark room, humping each other til sunrise, thats not the only thing they do ya know. i could understand in the old days when marriage was sacred, but its not anymore. couples are getting divorced at alarming rates, i think over 50 percent of marriages will end up in divorce. let them get married, there are plenty of other issues that are far more important in this country and in the world. People are losing their jobs, starving, getting thrown out of their houses, and this is still an issue? It really baffles me.
you should eat food that tastes terrible or else you are reducing your precious nourishment to simply a pleasure object. pleasure sucks for everyone. i wouldnt dream of getting horrible pleasure from a spouse.
Don't take this the wrong way, but that sounds like the argument of a Satanist. I'm not making a judgment, but isn't that what they believe? I'm not even saying they are wrong in their arguments, though perhaps incomplete or naive. I just believe that your soul will become lighter as you cast off desire for worldly things. I believe that saving your soul requires more than just being a good person and going to church, it requires participation and growth on the part of the individual; growth toward something higher.
