I appreciate your input, especially since it's so close to the player in question. You can't teach experience, which is what he has coming to LSU. That's the biggest issue here. We need an experienced guy to help out with an inexperienced receivering corps. And he has great speed and size. He will do fine here and make an immediate impact. The attitude problem he will have to get straightened out or he won't see the field for LSU. That's all I have to say about that. Miles won't settle for anything less. He can go play for Saban in that case. Saban is having a fire buy (fire sale?) right now and he will take anyone at this point. Character issues don't matter.
I haven't heard anything about the Mitchells since preseason. They talked highly of them at that point, but who knows.
Their quarterback did get hurt and in helped Byrd out cause they had to move their best WR to Quarterback leavin Byrd by himself. PRCC runs a wide open offense and had a running back get hurt leavin his recievin yards again inflamed the route runnin for Byrd was simply run down feild as fast as you can. He is a super athelete but needs to get in the weight room if he expects to play at LSU. I hope they can adjust his attitude and make him work in the wieght room. Again i would like to make it known i am as big an LSU fan as the next guy i was a little slow and little short to be able to play their so i am playin JUCO but i was just lettin yall know what i know if he will work out he will be great but i would guess he gets redshirted
I understand this is not what anyone wants to hear i am just letting everyone know he is a player that has such talent LSU is taking a chance on him he is not a sure deal. He has all the talent and potential to be a big time wr but has a ton of work I have played against him i think i would know better than yall
Yall dont get it and if your from LA you cant Juco football is great the coaches are great and the compotition is ahead of DII. This guy has refused coaching and has not shown a good work ethic in 2 years. PRCC has a program set to get their football players out in 3 semesters so that they can be in school for spring football Byrd hasnt even shown enough effort to do this. He has a bad attitude and is a real strech. Again i wish him the best for the Tigers fate but he is goin to have to change alot to ever be a good tiger and for him to get on the field this year he is goin to have to do somethin astronomical
I'll forgive you for this, because I recently changed my "location" on my profile. But if you would have read the first post I made on this subject, you would know that I am from Purvis, MS, 20 miles north of PRCC. You would also know that I have friends that attend, AND PLAY FOOTBALL at PRCC. You're right that Byrd is going to have to do something "astronomical" to see the field this year. He's going to have to get in line behind all the other receivers ahead of him, just like every new recruit.
