His quote about how his visit was going with LSU:

"I committed, so that's how you know how my visit is going…you feel me."

The article went on to say he has 3 years in which to play 2 seasons for the Tigers. Not sure how that works out, but that's a good thing.

I guess he is eligible for one and only one red or grey shirt.

That's my guess. Always good to have in your hip pocket.

Looks like Doucet, LaFell and Byrd will lead this corps of receivers next season. I also think Tolliver will see PT next season as well, although now we could redshirt him. We still got Dixon and the Mitchell boys. That's 6 deep already not counting Holliday. Damn, are we gonna have depth problems at ANY position?

According to Rivals he is only a three (3) star. Not a 5 star. I dont put much stock into Stars but just wanted to share.
    nice pickup.

LaFell gained weight last offseason, the weight on LSU's site is reflective of what he weighed the season before. I don't have time to look up right now but before last season I saw read a couple of articles on LaFell and how he had gianed a lot of muscle.

As of now, LaFell has not shown what type of receiver he can be in game situations. I imagine the coaches have a much better idea of how they want to use him next year from seeing him in practice.

He didn't seem to run many routes this year, mostly hitches I think, never really saw him in traffic. But I think that is more a product of him being the 4th wide-out than being representative of his abilities.

As of now, we do not have a real physical WR that could step up & be the next Bowe. Byrd is physical, but I doubt he's as strong as Bowe at this point. We'll just have to wait & see what we chose to do with him in physical training. I can't remember what it was now, but Bowe's bench press was awesome. It will be tough to find a guy that can be close to as strong as him considering how young they will all be next year.

I think Doucet is similar to Bowe, he's quite big. But still, Bowe was amazing, wish him the best in the NFL.

I expect Doucet to really step up into a Bowe type role this coming season. Doucet has similar size and the physical attributes. Doucet already ran a lot of similar routes, like the WR slant. At the end of the season Doucet really became the number two man. I expect a huge year from Doucet. Possibly make a first or second team All American.

Doucet has a lot of talent, maybe even more than Bowe, and has stepped up in crucial times. I expect him to be a first rounder next year.
