I saw the MOST AWFUL targeting flag thrown in that game. Even the announcers were certain it would be overturned but it wasn't.
How bout the end of the Duke Miami game, like 8 laterals on a kick return after Duke scores to go ahead, leaving 6 seconds on the clock. Miami does the ole lateral over and over play and it works. Insane.
That was proof the SEC zebras aren't the only incompetent or crooked refs in the nation. The Miami runner's knee was down and there is no provision to review a block in the back call. BTW there were several blocks in the back not called. If a call can be reversed shouldn't a no call be corrected. The Dukies got screwed royally. If the ACC has any integrity they would disallow the Miami TD and declare the Dukies the winner.
I have not dog in this race, but this is another case of "everyone else who watches the replay, who is NOT and official of any kind, SEES it as KNEE DOWN with ball in hand!" At the very least, something punitive should occur. Officials answer to no one even when incompetence is so obvious. I get that scrutiny cannot run amok with officials. Otherwise, they would be nitpicked to death. This was another, c'mon man situation. Not close. Also, if the block in the back could not be overturned in any way, why did the official even announce it as though it had been reviewed?
