It appears if the article Kelly misspoke. However to accuse him of deliberately lying is more than a bridge too far. In the article she admits to bragging she was responsible for naming the building. It's reasonable to see the two claims we're confused. Kelly has a reputation as a straight shooter and deserves the benefit of the doubt.

I am very sorry that he lost a son, but Mrs. Johnson lost a husband and father to her two children, so he should have chosen his words a LOT more carefully instead of rushing to the defense of a proven scumbag.
