Absolutely, since there is nothing to stop him anyway. But this is the last one and everybody knows it. If this surge doesn't fix everything by this time next year and Iraq is still going in snowballing disaster mode throughout the election year . . . There are going to be 100 more democrats in the House. And serious changes will be made in the White House. Yes, professor Sourdough. It's just that we didn't know that Americia tried to get Syria and Iran to solve all out problems with Hitlers Germany. We can't seem to find that in the history books anywhere.
Military action against Iran? Absolutely. Overwhelming and magic force. Attack like it's a video game, with nothing but air strikes. Spend about 4 months, doing nothing but air strikes in Iran and Syria. Target military installations, leadership headquarters, schools, hospitals, communication networks and factories. Obviously target the tactical concerns, but also the soft targets to let them know simply are sick of everyone's shiite -- or sunni, but I prefer shiite.
No it won't. The US is not going to go in and just air bomb Iran. We would invade Iran if anything. It's been rumored since the 90's that the Iranians have ex-Soviet nukes and some even say they have developed their own. Read up on "mutually assured destruction" -edit. WW3 Will happen but it won't be the result of the U.S. bombing a country and leaving it to rot.
They will have an election platform this year. I don't know why you can't understand that. Just like the last election, and every election in my lifetime, they have to lay out their position before the primary elections begin. Those elections start in January, so we'll get more details about their plan this year ... probably after the summer. You really don't know McCain's position? He has made it clear since the beginning that he wants more troops in Iraq. And he wanted more than the 20,000 Bush is sending now. He has always had a plan, but it won't be a popular one. Giuliani's is less clear. He equates the Iraq war to fighting crime in NYC. Here is a transcript of a recent interview with Hannity.
Uh oh.....How long will Bush's ego be able to put up with this: http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/02/08/iran.nuclear.ap/index.html "TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- Iran's supreme leader said Thursday that if the United States were to attack Iran, the country would respond by striking U.S. interests all over the world......"
That's no surprise. All Iran is saying is, "if you hit us, we'll hit back". I don't think Bush's ego has anything to do with this. Pretty soon, the issue of Iran will have to be addressed, as they are a country to seriously be worried about. War with Iran is not a far-off possibility...
They are just posturing because the pressure is on and they don't like it. It's Third-world rhetoric designed to sound tough to his own people. They ain't going to do chit, except talk. "Crushing response" they say. Suicide bombers wearing vests, eh? Let me tell you something about crushing responses. We have two aircraft carriers in the Gulf right now that could eliminate the Iranian Navy overnight. The bombers on Diego Garcia, on Guam and in the US plus the tactical airpower we can put in Kuwait, Turkey, Khazakstan, and Iraq could make a mess of the Iranian Air Force. If they ever develop a nuclear weapon and actually try to use it, ONE American ballistic missile submarine in the Indian Ocean could rain 240 nuclear warheads on Iran. And it is out there, bro's, along with cruise missile equipped subs and surface ships. They would lose any war with the US and they know it. That is if we can keep our incompetent, dimwitted president from trying to invade and occupy the god-forsaken place.
