The ISG recommended gradual troop withdrawal. That had not/is not going to happen under Bush. So if a Democratic candidate proposes this, it is wasted time?
Yep, What a great idea. Let's have Iran and Syria involved to help us solve all our problems. Wasn't that tried with Hitler's Germany btw? Not to bright if you ask me. The only part of the plan I liked was dividing Iraq into sections otherwise forget it.
A thought comes to mind. Liberals claim that Bush misled them to backing the war in Iraq and yet Hillary Clinton spent 8 years in the white house before Bush 43 was elected. You think she would've known an awful lot about Iraq, more than Bush 43 had known when he was a cowboy still in Texas. What was that speech about Iraq Clinton gave in 1998? Then you have the Democrats on the Foreign Intelligence Committee and others like John Kerry, Teddy Kennedy, Joe Biden, etc. All of these have been in the government a lot longer than Bush 41. There is no way they could be that blind on Iraq to have made a bad decision. From the evidence before me only a fool would believe the democrats assertion that Bush misled them. The truth is the evidence was either flawed or WMD's went to Syria the way Iraq's air force did in 1991. My opinion is that things get tough and the Democrats and anti-war movement take over and they do a 360. This is why they are now against the war after they voted for it.
Do you also support James Baker's plan to give Bush's plan a chance that is now in the news?:hihi: I guess not?   It was a thought and I love it when I'm right and theres not anything anyone can say to disprove it!:hihi:   :thumb:
Who says they don't have a plan? They just don't have an election platform yet. Bush may have changed this war significantly before election time. They are going to wait before getting into specifics, because Bush is still calling the shots and the situation could deteriorate badly. But they do have a plan. What are Giuliani's and McCain's plans?
Seems like its a bit early but I agree everyone should have a plan to clean up Bush's mess if he can't get it done. Tom Tancredo, hoping for him running for president if for no other reason to go after the borders once again.
