Most definitely. Hopefully voters in general will someday take the time to pay attention to such things. One of reasons for supporting Kerry in '04 was because of well thought-out plans for various things in writing. Mind you, I agreed with much of his approaches for many things.

By the way, as far as the thread title goes... I heard the actual audio clip of Bush speaking on Iran. He said "we will respond <brief pause> uhhhhh <brief pause> firmly". :hihi:

The easiest thing to do is cast stones at those in vulnerable positions like Bush is with the war. It takes gigantic intestinal fortitude and vision to come up with solutions and offer them up which "NOBODY" has taken on that challenge, as of yet.

No. She backed the initial war resoloution. The Congress had no input on strategy.

Why would a politician provide a potential soloution that a competitor may steal. We won't heat any plans from anyone until closer to the election. The best interests of our country don't matter to politcians. I wouldn't expect any new strategy until summer 08.

Regardless, she backed the plan to go to war. If she wasn't in line with the strategy, she shouldn't have backed it, it's that simple. It's easy to say now it was flawed...hindsight is a beautiful thing; too bad you can't do jack with it.

Primaries start in less than a year. How do you ask someone to vote for you if you don't tell them your position?

All candidates will have to answer the Iraq question this year.

Because the strategy was public knowledge....we can look into the future! :thumb:

I'm sure it will be asked in the debates if she gets the Democratic nomination.

And she had admitted a mistake in backing George Bush's lead on that war decision. Now she doesn't plan on letting it happen again. Some politicians learn from their errors and move on more carefully.

Others just keep staying that course, backing the wrong horse, and digging the hole deeper.

You just hit the nail on the head. That's exactly what's wrong with this country. Political considerations prevent anything good from ever getting accomplished.

Pretty soon, they'll all be talking with clipboards in front of their faces.

It won't really matter what her policy is because she'll never be President. All Republicans and women hate her.
