I would support bombing the hell out of Iran if they attack us or Isreal. I would not support another stupid nation building occupation that costs thousands of American lives and shows no progress. I think our better coarse of action is sealing Iraq's borders to cut off foreign fighters entrance to Iraq.

Bombing is one thing. We can't lose in a airpower war if it becomes neccessary. But sending in too-few troops to actually invade and get into a guerrilla knife fight with them and fight their kind of war instead of our kind of war is just stupid.

This makes no sense. We are getting weaker and weaker in Iraq when we need to get stronger to deal with these real threats. How much more weakness can we show but to stay there babysitting a civil war by endlessly patrolling and accomplishing nothing? Did Vietnam come and attack us in California for quiting that war. Hell no, they have been bending over backwards trying to be our friend again. Like the Iraqis they fight us because we are there. We leave--the problem disappears like friggin' magic.

How have we learned this? Give me one example of Iraqis attacking the US. There were no Iraqis involved in 9/11 or the Cole bombing or the embassy bombings. It was Al Qaida and we have failed to kill or capture bin Ladin who is not in Iraq but in Pakistan being protected by our "allies" the Pakistanis. Continuing this silly dance in Iraq will not keep Al Qaida from attacking us again.

This Iraqi misadventure is a distraction from the real war on terror, it has weakened the military, and it continues to sap our economic and military resources, which are not endless.

Bomb the "muslim" out of them, then send in the troops. Destroy their cities, their infrastructure, and their transportation routes. Make them wish they were never borne to this world. When we have thoroughly pounded them back to the dark ages,.........leave. Make an example out of them. Mess with us, and suffer. Screw peace keeping, and nation building.

    My definition of peace keeping......

It is hard to be optimistic about Iraq. I supported going into Iraq, but since the fall of Saddam there has been few good decisions made.

    Anyone ever think of this?

The liberals are mainly against the war.

The conservatives are mainly for the war.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE WORLD!?!?!

So to address Salty's "Imagine no liberals".....if we had none of these "liberals" you speak of....we might not be in this never ending war!

I always find it amusing when "Joe Public", with nothing more than a computer and TV remote, has all the answers. Oval Office briefings? Joint Chiefs' meetings? Defense Department conferences? Bah! What the hell do they know?

Probably a lot less than we think. I hope I'm wrong about that.

:thumb: Agreed. We accomplished all of this in Iraq in 2003. WTF are we still doing there babysitting those ungrateful, unworthy, incompetent raghead bastards?

Typical. First they say "you just criticise George Bush, you don't have any ideas of your own".

So you give them some of your ideas and they say "you can't have any ideas because I don't understand them."

It forces me to ask "Why not attack the issues that I make instead of attacking my credibility. Don't have the stuff?

It forces me to ask "If the people who have direct access to all of these briefings have screwed things up this badly, why do you still support them? Why are you afraid of new ideas?
