Given that Kerry and Bush would probably effectuate the same result, it would be worse to have to see and hear Kerry on a daily basis. The guy makes me sick. At least with Bush, I probably wouldn't mind hanging out with him.

Couldn't agree with you more, I don't see politicians on either side interested
in securing the borders for instance.
Candidates on both sides suck now days if you ask me, its usually the best
    of two evils.

The boom of the 90's had nothing to do with Clinton, the computer and internet revolution sure helped his administration and made him look good
with the economy, national debt plus down sizing the military.
When you are president, timing is everything, if the economy is booming you
are great and a genius, if its not you will be less popular and your ratings will
    suffer.

The UN is a whole other ballgame, how come the people who constantly criticize Bush seem to give the UN a free pass.
It is clear the UN is more corrupt than our government or this administration
and these people don't seem to care?

Grinding that old anti-Bush axe once again Red?
Too bad the other side didn't have a better candidate, what does this say
    for them?

That is a good point. I've always said that Bush would probably make a good person to have as a neighbor or drinking buddy. But I think I'd be willing to trade for a slightly douchier fella running the country if we could eliminate the direction we seem to be heading in.

I have also grown increasingly spiteful of Bush's inability to speak clearly and intelligently, partially because he's incessantly regergitated some not-too random combination of the same 5-7 keywords, injected with several long, awkward silences or 'uh's' between words, in response to any question on any subject matter. It's gotten increasingly worse over his term. I don't remember him being like that at all in the '00 primaries. I remember him speaking very clearly and confidently. Otherwise, I doubt I would have supported him then.

Before people start attacking me for using that as a basis for characterization, bare in mind that the subject of the quoted re: was who you'd rather see and hear on a daily basis. I acknowledge that either candidate would be churning out a heaping pile of fly-covered cliche' B.S. I would just rather hear that B.S. from someone who can at least pronounce it.

But you'd have to hear it twice from Kerry. Once what he originally thought, then again except for now what he thinks everyone else wants to hear. :yelwink2:

Yeah, it's funny that people mentioned in this thread that they don't like Bush trying to please everybody. I think that was exactly Kerry's problem, too. Compared to other incumbents, I think Kerry's job of defeating Bush should have been relatively easy. But he overshot, and tried to please too many people from both sides.

    1. these polls are kinda silly. most people have no idea what the president is doing. i can barely keep up with it. i think people who are surveyed are just sort of making some answer up randomly or even if they think they know how the president is performing, they really dont know much specifics about what exactly is going on and why. especially on domestic policy.

    2. i'm not a fan of this relatively recent development of calling everyone a douche. i would like a new different disrespectful term. douchebag went around when i was about 12 and it was stupid the first time around.

    3. anything south park related is miserable. the writers are douchebags.

Sorry man, douche/douchebag are back in a major way. I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon, at leat on my end. Besides, it's relatively tasteful, given that it's a hygenic product.

I still tend to go with "tool". It can have a double meaning, as in "that guy's
a tool" (of the establishment or what have you, meaning he's incapable of independent thought) or "that guy's a tool" (as in, he's a d!ck).

Oh definitely no love lost for 'tool', particularly with respect to the first description. 'Douche' just does more for me phoenetically.

I was the first to use the word douchebag on this forum and I'm the only one authorized to use it. ask brett.
