I totally agree. I'm all for removing government from individual decision making. Maybe if the government allowed idiots to make bad decisions, there would be a lot less of them walking around. I think pot being illegal and cigarettes not is a borderline double standard. Where we are different is you think they should both be legal and I think neither should be.

Based on what I have heard, if you put one guy in a house with only pot and one with only McDonald's, the guy with the pot would probably steal the McDonald's from the other dude.

Also, the guns comment was kind of a joke.

paper from marijuana...grows 4.1-1 over an acre of trees,is more durable than paper made from trees and doesn't turn yellow.also less smelly and less pollution to process into paper.

fabric from marijuana...fabric from one acre is about 3-1 over cotton ,and is also more durable.

plastics from hemp is biodegradable, so for all the tree huggers ,you gotta be a fan

Henry Fords first automoblile was made entirely from hemp and ran on hemp gasoline which burns cleaner than gas from petroleum.

The reasons it is illegal ...William Randolph Hearst who was a huge newspaper magnate and also owned huge amounts of timber. and dupont who came up with a fabric called nylon in the 30's ...both considered hemp to be huge competition and started what would be called today yellow journalism which the american people bought hook ,line and sinker.

also , when the first settlers came here there were laws that you had to grow hemp


and for the record ,i don't smoke...

Old news, hydroponic was the way to go when I lived there in the late 80's. However don't underestimate California's indoor hydroponic crop. You would be surprised what you can do with some quality seeds, MH/HPS lighting and some PVC. The article gave far too much credit to lighting and fertilizer and far too little credit to not allowing the female plants to be pollinated and better genetic strains through cross breeding.

 

im just stoked that another state is competing with california. plus florida is closer =)
