    But of course, these things aren’t noticed or notable until one looks for them with bias. So far exercise ropes, garage door pull ropes, and twine tied to a tree are racist symbols. We have a lot to do in this world to remove tie-able things from our lives.

    As of 6:10 pm, the NYT and CNN gave the door pull story a very small headline and stuck it pretty far down the page of their e-editions.

    WAPO to its credit, gave the story a larger headline and a "Breaking News" banner.
