I MUCH prefer the white jerseys. Perhaps, that is because I grew up watching the Tigers in them, but I do like the look better than the purple. I do, however, have no problem with the Tigers donning the purple jerseys for one non-conference game each season. :geaux:

It will depend on what bowl we go to and who the home team is. The home team gets to choose the jersey they wear. For example if we go to the Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State and they are the home team, they get to pick what jersey they wear. If they choose to wear white then we have to wear another color ie. purple. In 2000 GT was the home team for the Peach Bowl and chose to wear white. We then wore our purple uniforms for the game.
I have been introducing my TX friends to the Universe of the Tiger by having them watch the games with me each weekend. Last weekend, when the Tigers took the field, to a person (4 men and 2 women) they were all wowwed by the purple. I spent two touchdowns worth of time explaining the tradition of home white. They understood, but still said the purple looked better on television. Oh well. I love the tradition, but I still dig those purple j's and the fact they wear them a few times a year.
Their home jerseys are red with silver pants. Didnt we wear purple in the Sugar Bowl in 2001? They way I feel is that white is our traditional jersey and should be our default colors, but I also want to see purple every once in a while.
It was white in the Sugar Bowl. While i'm into this jersey thing, how about bringing back the gold ones. Hold up before you flame this and here me out. What if we wore an updated version of the gold jerseys. They would be like the white or purple ones only gold. Soild gold jersey with the arm stripes being mostly purple and white in the middle.
I saw some people wearing this style of jersey to the game this weekend, and I thought it looked pretty cool. Not sure what it would look like with a complete uniform though.
