That's for sure then throw in the fact that our coach is in his first year, the team is still "Feeling him out", buying into his system compared to whatever they were doing before.

Kids today won't necessarily "Follow" just cause "He's the coach"-they'll play but I mean really follow. Those bonds of loyalty come through experiences both on and off of the field. How he carves out his player relationships- the "Father figure" away from home type thing. What they perceive him to be as a teacher in life situations as well.

Buying into his system? What system would that be? You think there's a strategy involved here? We're not proficient at fundamentals. We're not throwing strikes.

Well, whatever he hell we're throwing they're hitting the chit out of it- we have TWELVE games with double-digit hits, some to teams like Stetson, Central Florida, NW, Lipscomb.

By system, I meant the whole MO, including how he runs practices, his philosophy, determines who makes the road games.

You know how he determines which pitchers get a crack? I can promise you there's some percieved favoritism within the ranks as to some of the players' statuses-not exclusive to pitching.

Do you honestly think that these kids made it this far without fundamentals?? Then why are we witnessing what we are? Routine plays booted??

They're certainly competitive but they're no top 25 teams. I'd never heard of Stetson or Lipscomb before this season.

I know PM inherited a bad situation but dayum, our expectations have to be higher than that- even though we do need to allow him time to get us back where we belong. :thumb:

Accurate analysis, it just seems like we should be able to accidently get better pitching at LSU than these essentially unknown programs (At least to many LSU fans and on a National basis). But again, I was posting to show we must be throwing some strikes for teams to have DD hits. Good points you brought in though. :thumb:
