Thats not the right wordage. I listened to the guy and he said that it would be his hope that the reps would start voting more with what the people wanted then what the party wanted. The rep can see and read 1,000 emails that say to vote YES but it is still the reps choice. Like today the veto session was defeated, I personally thought the tax cuts bill the leg passed was a nice one, Babs vetoed it. The reps thought that one and a few others were worth trying to bring the first veto session in Louisiana history. For the veto session to be defeated there needed to be 53 No votes in the House and 20 in the Senate. The House got 23 and the Senate got 21. Thus the veto session was defeated. Later this afternoon a DEMOCRATIC rep was on the radio saying that he himself was strong armed into sending in a no vote, which he says he didnt do, but he also said that it happened to more then a few people. (So who was those desicions made to benefit?) And yes you can find that info on the internet, but **** we barely can get people to take the time out to vote do you really think they are gonna go looking for the answers. But if you give people the option to find the answers and make it so that even the dumbest person in the state can understand it, how is that a bad thing.
