So I was driving in the car and listening to the game when Bregman hit that Grand Slam. I was screaming with excitement. Alex has had a rough go of it in the latter part of this post-season. Such a huge hit for him. So glad to see the Astros back in this. I think Cole will come out with fire tomorrow night and then Verlander gets his first WS decision W and we finish off the gnats in 6! Geaux’stros!
So I've tried to play out the perfect ending in my head. So we unfortunately lose tonight and then both Verlander and Greinke pitch complete game shutouts to win the world series. Verlander needs this for his post season legacy and Greinke has been crapped on a lot so I'm desperately pulling for him to have his moment. Although thuth be told he has had arguably the two biggest starts in the post season, giving us a 3-1 lead vs the Yankees and then helping us avoid going down 3-0.
We have all of a sudden gotten in the kids head. He is really scuffling at the plate right now. If he can't find his way out, no way the Nats win this. His bat is that important.
Yeah Bregman played down the disrespect angle after the game, but let's be honest, he was looking to put this game away when he came to the plate and he was not to be denied.
Carlos Correa said that Bregman was going to have a big game, He has gotten that timing twitch back in his swing.
I hate him because he has no respect for the game. Someone seems to have gotten to him because his antics are not as visible of late and I hope he continues to mature because he is a great hitter. I think a heater up and in would help speed that along.

Yep at this point I want Verlander to pitch the game of his life (think Yankees game 6 in 2017). It would erase everything prior in the WS during his post season career.
