    Much easier to accomplish in the UK, which has about the same land area as Michigan, or Australia, with a population equivalent to Florida. As for "gun nuts" turning in their guns, some will. There are certainly millions of law abiding gun owners that might not like it, but they will follow the law. I'll concede there are many of the "cold, dead hands" types - maybe millions of them. And when the gov't comes for their guns, there will be tragedies. But the real point is, how many of the bad guys will give up their guns? Let's put it in real terms; suppose a gun ban had been enacted the day after the Buffalo shooting, effective immediately. Do you think Mr. Uvalde shooter would have complied?

    And it’s not passing “more laws”, it’s passing “a law”. Armed guards and teachers at schools is not my definition of “land of the free”. That only belongs to the open carry bunch.

    I don't think I am. You said you'd hate to see armed guards in the schools, but you didn't say you don't think it would work. I don't think guns are the problem. Guns in the hands of bad guys unimpeded by good guys with guns is the problem. Jeez, when will those who want to "control" guns admit that every one of these tragedies occurs in places that are well advertised "gun free zones?" Why do these maniacs always go to schools or churches or malls? They never try to shoot up a police station or a gun range. Why is that, I wonder?

    Right on cue.... the Republican mayor of Uvalde says "it's too early to talk about gun laws."

    Right... these NRA assmunching ghouls ALWAYS say "it's too early to talk about gun laws" because they want the outrage to die down and for the dead children to be forgotten. And when will Alex Jones say it's all a hoax?

    For fuck sake. THIS SHIT DOESN'T HAPPEN, at least no where near this frequently, in the UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, where there are sensible gun laws. WHY? Because there are FEWER guns there, not more.

    More of your DUMBASS posts. If the gun shop that sells his weapons shut down then the chances of Mr. Uvalde Shooter next year and the years after that will be much less.
