Braves sign Julio Franco

I thought last year they were World Series shoe-ins if Randolph wasn't the manager.

well with the roster moves, the braves designated Franco for assignment today, hoping he will go to the minors until Sept 1 when the rosters expand.

 

Makes sense to me.

He would be a major offensive upgrade over most of the 'Stros line-up right now.
