Damn, bet Spikes will learn his lesson after cruel and unusual punishment. Spikes probably doesn't even want to play in the first half of the Vandy game.

This guy needs to be suspended if this turns out to be the case. Thats so dirty.

    *edit*
1 game???Atleast 3 cmon. To do that during the game of football is ...to me is just as bad as blounts postgame punch.

i think it's worse. Blount may have lost it after the punch with the fans and i think that was really jacked up, but i don't think the punch was all that bad. Should he have done it, no, but the Boise guy created the first contact by slapping his shoulder pad, then started talking trash, and you can see Chris Peterson yelling at the guy before the punch, Blount was walking away before that, and then that happened and he dropped him. Dude deserved to be dropped. No one deserves to have their eyeball gouged out.

Chris did not yell but he gloated for all of 2 seconds as he tapped his shoulder pad. That happens all game every game in one form or another. Hell, Blount was trashing Boise in the paper for months leading up to the game. If anyone deserved to be dropped it was Blount.

Blount did get dropped, Blount got what he deserved. That Chris dude thought he was going to be a little smart ass and pick on the guy who said "they owed Boise an ass whippin." Not they were going to kick Boise's ass. Dude was walking away, Boise guy had to start some sh!t, watch again and look at Boise's coach, even Peterson knew he was doing the wrong thing. He got dropped and he deserved it. Blount got suspended, and he deserved it. But you can't say that what Blount did, was the same as what Spikes was doing, trying to intentionally gouge someone's eyeball out, and punching some scrub player in the jaw aren't same ballpark, especially since Blount wouldn't have done anything had he not been provoked. Does that mean what Blount did was right, no, but i understand. The whole crowd thing, that is another issue altogether, and was idiotic.

I never compared the 2. Spikes was not mentioned in my post.

I am saying anyone who acts like a complete baby because someone gave him the same dose that he fed the papers and simply tapped him on the shoulder, deserves to get dropped as well and not only suspension dropped. And to say even if he just walked by with no incident and a few fans taunted him which would have been way worse than what Chris said would have likely thrown him in for a tantrum as well.

Chris might be a tool but he did a great job in making Blount show his true colors.

i agree with you, all i was saying is the dude from Boise deserved to get punched in the jaw. Blount got everything he deserved, and i don't think the punishment would have been as harsh had he not acted like he did towards the fans.

I think it is silly to say that anyone deserves to get punched in the jaw for a little ribbing. By that definition all the fans in the stands deserved a smack as well or every player/coach who talks **** during the coarse of the game.

I can guarantee you other Oregon players got the same earful leaving the field like after most games. Knock em all out...

I think it was more than a little ribbing. Next time you watch that clip watch Peterson, if the Boise player was doing nothing wrong, Peterson wouldn't have been trying to pull him away and yelling at him.

During the game i have no problem with sh!t talking. But afterwards there is no reason for it. Let the scoreboard do the talking.

As far as the fans, that is a different beast, Blount was way over the line, and i think that is why the punishment was so harsh. I don't think all fans should be knocked out, they are fans, that's what they do.

So he got a half game suspension against Vandy? Was a slap on the wrist too harsh?
