    LaFell is good... VERY explosive...

But the 2-3 times I saw him play, he did little to no blocking at all..

Will he get that down? If he does, this kid will be super solid...

Well, it's those "little things", such as blocking down field (which actually, ISN'T so "little" of a thing...), that he needs to learn to be more consistant at doing.

Take Michael Clayton and Devrey Henderson...Those guys loved to block downfield and Clayton, in particular, was a GREAT blocker.

We need guys (WR's) that are able to help us in both offensive aspects. If they're not catching a ball, they need to be aggressive blockers and lend a hand that way.

...and if Lafell can't do both at this early stage of his LSU career, then he should redshirt, work on that aspect of his game, and be ready to be one of the main guys next season and in the future.

I know one thing, I'll never compare another WR at LSU to Clayton in order to try and analyze if he is a good to average blocker downfiled. That wouldn't be fair. Clayton was a strong safety playing WR, what a hitter. It's all about attitude I think.

If any receiver we have can block as well as Jessie Myles used to I'll be happy, if they block as good as Clayton I'll be estatic.
