I find that hard to believe. Granted, I don't listen to much radio from outside of BR, but I can't imagine it gets much worse than Buddy, Jimmy and Richard. These shows have no direction. The inmates (callers) run the asylum. Have you ever heard an actual topic on these shows? It sounds like they just turn ont he mic and talk. Who do you guys like to listen to? Jordy knows Hornets Basketball. For someone who does sideline reporting for LSU, he really doesn't know all that much. Nice interviews Jimmy lets idiot callers ramble for days. Whats up with his guest hosts? Rosco? What a jagoff. Jimmy himself is not stupid but his show is the same every day. Buddy is total garbage. Guys before Condon are ok. I don't think either one of them are stupid but they are too young to be on the radio
I liked the "Fastest Hour" the few months that Josh wasn't on it. No knock on him, but I just like Matt better solo.
I listened to Condon back in the early to mid 90s and it was already old. I can't imagine you guys have had to put up with it another 15 years. That's brutal. Ott and Songy were on back then too and were so very bad. The commercials are endless and relentless. LSUgrad, you must be smokin sumpin. Baton Rouge sports radio is at an unacceptable level and sounds like it has been for the past 20 years or so. You guys deserve better than that. Some other radio station needs to take over the airwaves in terms of entertaining and enlightening sports talk radio. That's about the only solution. I just wonder why no one has tried. There is really nothing to overcome here. You really just have to go on the air and you're automatically better than this.
Yeah.. Radio in BR is painful... especially in a car that doesn't pick up AM very well.. I'd love to see an FM sports station and an FM Conservative radio station...
maybe tigerforums needs its own show/station. edit: we could have the team katt show, red and sabanfan can have a point/counterpoint show, ladies first with batty, okie, stacey and orlando. and tirk and cajun sensation could do a show, but it'd have to be on late. really late.
I used to like Hannigriff when he was on. Ott's knowledgeable, but he's so anti-Miles, (with his buddy Dildeaux) and rambles on with his buddies. Condon isn't even sports, last year, the week of the Ga game, doesn't even talk about it, his big topic that week was racisim at Southern.
yeah very much like hanigriff more as a radio personality than as an announcer. dude knows his stuff.
I always thought the fastest hour with Matt Mascona (spelling?) was informative. I like Matt but i do not like Josh. And you are right, Condon is too busy talking about why he brings a lunch box to work, or some other off the wall crap. I really do not care for any of the other shows, i listen during football season, but the rest of the year i listen to 105.3 the fan out of Dallas/Fort Worth to keep up with the goings on in the D/FW. I really like Tiger Rag radio which comes on in central louisiana on 970 am tuesday nights, Matt Deville is pretty informative. What Baton Rouge needs are some young fresh voices.
