Not to mention that Corexit is just as harmful to marine wildlife as oil. Their counterpoint is that it's only soap, just like the detergent they use to clean oiled birds. The difference is that birds don't swim/breathe in it. It doesn't take a doctorate in biology or environmental sciences to discern that fish and birds are not quite the same.

That's the problem... there's nobody willing to step up to the plate and start leading. Everyone's too worried about possible repercussions of any decisions they may make.

    And then there's this:

f' that shyt! it was obvious to most from the very beginning anything and everything should be done. everyone but bp and the obama administration.

thanks y'all. thanks for turning down what might have been able to at least contain this in the beginning.

as far as the berms being "untried technology".... what was tried was known to have failed in the past with the mexican rig spill in 1979.

no one is standing up to bp and saying you will do this, as far as i can see. they are allowed to lie and stall with impunity. and congress and allen just wring their hands and meekly say "ok".

chewie, i like your idea, and really like the idea of me being in charge. line em up!

i just saw a "we're bp and we're wonderful" commercial. i dont know how i missed them before.

i didnt see a bit of oil. i saw booms on the water, without oil floating, just blue water and booms. i saw beaches being cleaned up but no tar balls or sludge shown, just how beautiful the beaches are because bp is cleaning them. i saw some sort of small animal being bathed, but all the oil was off of it and just a cute clean little animal in the soapy water was shown.

i swear, there wasnt a single picture in the pic montage of any oil any where! everything is just squeaky clean because bp is doing such a wonderful clean up job!

    i wanted to hurl.

And the Dutch are smart as hell...they have their hands all up in Shell and they are some very nice people.

There was a Dutch big wig that was working with my dad at Shell 8 years ago and just through talking my dad told him about me going to be a paratrooper and I quote my dad, "The guy almost gave me a bear hug and couldnt stop thanking me and you for what the 82nd Airborne did for his country during WWII"

thats it. i must have missed the first few seconds when they did show a bit of oil. but after that, look at how clean everything is.

this is nothing but to influence public opinion in areas where people may still be gullible and believe their lying shyt.
