Re: Oil Rig explosion/Gulf Oil Spill I've read that one of their next plans included trying to cut the top of the BOP with a wiresaw. The theory is if they can make a clean cut then they can attach another fixture to it and use that to collect the oil or cap the well until the relief wells are completed and the pressure can be decreased. Other than that, I'm not sure.
Re: Oil Rig explosion/Gulf Oil Spill I've been in the business of dealing with claims for catastrophic crap like this including well blowouts, pipeline explosions and even air disasters for 30 years and I'm telling you that 1st reports are almost always wrong. Tell you what. Go FK yourself.
