if Michigan is so tough. maybe THEY'LL win All this baloney about the Rose Bowl being the National Championship game (this is what Pete Carroll is trying to say) is totally out of line. It's correct that the team that the two human polls chose as #1 is in it, but it isn't true that their opponent has anywhere NEAR the ranking that you'd need to call them the #2 team, which is what you have in a real National Championship game. Having said all of that, though, I do think Michigan is pretty good, and I even think Michigan is going to give USC a hard time. It just shows how far this idiot is stretching, though, to try to say Michigan v. USC is the best match-up.
I like reading the Sporting News better than SI anyways. The Sporting News seem to have more news and sports in it than SI anyday. Only thing SI has better than the Sporting News is the swimsuit issue.
