LSU has a very good chance of going to the Capital One, the Bowls are not obligated to take the 2, 3 or 4 teams and LSU could end up being the #2 team anyway. The Cotton would also probably love to take Tennessee since LSU was there 2 years ago and Tenn. travels better than most teams in the country. The Capital One also had like 50 members in Baton Rouge on Saturday.
I still say LSU in Capital One if we win out. They know we really want to go there and would bring a great crowd. Tenn will be down after Auburn beats them again. Matt Jones is the only thing in our way.
One year after Tenn. played in the Sugar Bowl, I heard a quote from a bar owner in the French quarter. He said the Tenn. fans must all be Baptist cause they rolled into town carrying the ten commandments and a ten dollar bill. AND NEVER BROKE EITHER ONE
I don't know what scenario would have to play out for that to happen but I would love to see LSU in the Cap One against Michigan. Michigan is the only big time perenial football power that LSU has NEVER played, not even once even in distant past. Its time the two programs finally met on the field.
Michigan just needs to beat Ohio State to win the Big-10 Conference and a berth to the Rose Bowl, most likely against California. Should be an excellent game actually. Michigan's rushing game is clicking on all cylinders.
I would have to think Capitol One takes LSU over Tennessee. Tennessee has no QB to speak of at this point, and is not the same team anymore. They will probably struggle to beat Vandy on the road.
LSU in the capital one would be cool. It would be either Iowa or Wisconsin. Both schools travel well so it would be a fun time. It would be neat to see Nick match up against Barry Alvarez again or go against Iowa. See Nick and Bobby go up against schools they used to coach against would be more interesting than a big 12 school imho.
