This will be the 9th LSU Notre Dame match up of my lifetime. 3rd in a bowl game. The series is tied 5-5 but LSU is 2-0 in bowl game matchups. The last time was a Sugar Bowl ass whoopin in 2006, now Jamarcus Russell and Charlie Weis both see each other as a small meal.
Notre Dame's defensive stats Scoring Defense: 351 points (29.25/game) Rushing Defense: 161.67 yards/game (LSU's rushing offense: 219.5 yards/game) Passing Defense: 239.8 yards/game This ain't no SEC defense.
I would love to but the budget doesn't allow it this year. It looks like a decent match up. There is absolutely no buzz or excitement around this game in Nebraska. I have to think this is one of the main reasons Pelini was fired. Apathy is not the norm in Big Red country.
Wow. That's disappointing. Definitely not the norm. Most SC fans who attended the last game in Lincoln rated it very highly....not a bad or negative word, locals treated us as good as one could expect. The story line of Mike Riley always being able to up-end USC adds a little bit. I like the match up.
