no i think he's saying that when you're playing football you dont evaluate such things during the action. you go all out each play or you shouldnt be playing. short-arming any pass is unacceptable by coaches and is a quick way to get some pine time. bowe would never be benched but you get the idea. its like fumbling except except almost intentionally.
what was ignorant? i basically just start taking the opposite extreme view when posters become such homers. i particularly enjoy reading posts that call me a moron when they jump in the middle of a thread and cant follow whats been said (not you btw). and, what tirk said.
I disagree. The ball was uncatchable and Bowe would have gotten demolished. It's as simple as that. As much as these guys practice, they know what is catchable and what isn't. He could have layed out and taken the hit just to look tough but I would be afraid to know what his condition would be right now had he done that.
no its as simple as i described it whether you care to believe it or not is up to you. your view is utter nonsense to me. he has every reason to be called out on that play but its excusable, at least once.
I still don't understand what good it would have done for him to get demolished going for an uncatchable ball. As a former college athlete I know you go all out for every play that you can make. But you don't go headfirst into a fence trying catch a foul ball that lands in the parking lot.
