CBK mentioned that Boutte was receiving a lot of double coverage which was a significant factor in his lack of catches.
I think I read we had four or five receptions last week. Hard to spread that around. Les Miles level failure thus far.
When I watch Boutte, he doesn't appear to be running hard or putting much effort into his routes and the few times he's been thrown to, he's dropped the ball.
This season he has 11 receptions and been targeted 21 times. Of the 10 he didn’t catch, a few were uncatchable, but for sure some were catches he should have made.
That's a great point. He clearly just seems to be going through the motions. I shake my head every time I hear a commentator say something about him being a first round draft pick. I don't see it. Personally, I would never draft him in any round because he's not the type of player I would want associated with my team. Give me a Jacob Hester or Julian Edelman, who give it their all every play, over some over-hyped and lazy player anytime!

I think we need to acknowledge that Boutte has turned a corner and become a leader of the team. He may not be posting the numbers we want but he’s been a leader in recent weeks according to BK. It’s refreshing to see someone mature in front of your eyes
Love it! Pretty fun, but I have to give Boutte credit as of late because he's stopped his pouting and has decided to just play football! Hope that will last at least until the end of this season!
