I had heard of bottle service in clubs but I didn't know what it meant until the other day. It's serving a bottle of booze to a group at a table rather than individual drinks. You get the mixers and a dedicated waiter. Basically it's a way of turning a $30 bottle of Grey Goose into a $300 bottle.

In last Sunday's Parade Magazine comedian Chris Elliott and his daughter were going back and forth about the difference between Millenials and Baby Boomers. Elliott said that Boomers don't order bottle service but any Boomer can drink any Millenial under the table

It's ridiculous. I took a client to a club with bottle service in Las Vegas once. I had to drink myself silly just to get through the evening with the loud music etc. And 300 is low. I want to say we got two bottles tax, tip and some additional mixtures and the tab was almost $1,500. It's not fun either. Or maybe that's just me being an old man. I'm 34.

Completely ridiculous, I went to Vegas with a group once and this was the "thing" they really wanted to do was to go get this stupid bottle service. Turns out the wait to get into the club was stupid, that is code for none of us combined had enough clout to jump the line. Finally got tired of that crap and found my home away from home, a craps table at the IP.

Well the truth is you didn't do it right. Vegas is a crazy place but not crazy enough to make people willing to pay $500 for a bottle of vodka wait in line. You just grab one of those dudes out front and say you want bottle service and you walk right in. At least that was my experience.

Well I'm glad I failed, I never wanted to do that shit in the first place. I can go to a night club in any city in America and most anywhere in the country. If you are in Vegas and NOT at a craps table then it is my contention that you or anyone else is doing it wrong. ;)

I agree, although I would argue blackjack tables are acceptable as well. The bigger travesty is that casinos are going to 2x odds on craps and 6 to 5 payout on blackjack. Friggin ridiculous.
