Jury is still out on Mustain. I think we have another month to wait until he makes his decision. Even without Mustain, we'll have Corp and that will get the conversation going as well.

I think the Sanchez back problem must have worked itself out. Reports from spring practice are that he's throwing quite well. I'll let you know after Tuesday when I've been to a practice.

I don't think Corp is the answer, though. When PC is still trying to convince Jimmy Clausen to jump to SC that late, by telling Clausen its not too late, I don't think PC has that much confidence in Corp.

And, while Booty wasn't especially effective against SC, I blame that more on the stupid obstinancy of Lane Kiffin than anything else. The SC WRs were getting separation, but there was too much pressure on Booty to get the ball to those WRs. If the OC had made some adjustments, I don't think we'd be having this discussion about his performance against UCLA.

PC tried to convince JC to come so late in the process because he is a recruiting guru, he gets a hard on from signing top players, and it would only attract more players in future recruiting classes. It is the name of the game and PC plays it well.

You think PC recruited all of these top 5 high school RB (top 2 or 3 this year) every year because he is worried about his RB corp.:dis:

And this is coming from someone who doesnt like PC but you have to respect his recruiting ability.

Umm.....he played FOR SC not against them.

In the position he's in, I'm sure PC signs a lot of players he's not "Confident" in- I mean, being in the running for a NC year in and year out, I'm sure it's hard to get the talent he really wants. I mean, who would want a qb who passed for 2,750 yards, rushed for 1,135 yards, and led his team to a State title? :(

You were right on with your first 3 words.

Show me proof that PC was still going after JC "late". Then we'll talk. I guess it was okay for Michellin Man to call Chris Gallipo just hours before he signed his LOI and yes Gallipo has said that. Don't be too quick to dismiss Gallipo's veracity....he did come from Servite. You remember Servite don't you bitter? It's that private Catholic school here in OC that used to be a domer pipeline. DJ Shoemate and Matt Kallil (all 6'7" and 270) are gonna' look great in Cardinal and Gold.

I've said before that SC failed to make adjustments in the 2nd half against ucla and that's something the irish should recognize cause you didn't do it either and were lucky to come away with a win. Where I disagree is to put it all on Lane Kiffin. He was one of 2 OC's, the other being Sarkisian and the ultimate play caller is PC. Add to that our O line had the worst game of the year that Saturday and they know it. Don't worry about Lane though. He seems to have recovered enough to earn NFL head coach $$. Maybe he'll send you a bottle of fine irish whiskey, you can slip those gold glasses on, and continue to pretend that all is right with the world.

ND adjusted on the final drive, giving BQ maximum protection. I don't know why SC didn't do the same in that game, if you knew the O line was struggling. Keep the tight end to block, etc...
