    Killing England

It is about the US emancipation from England, told from the perspective of those who were there. Jefferson, Washington, King George, etc. It goes into all kinds of detail that I never knew anything about.

    1) Rising Tide. It’s about the 1927 flood and so much more. Really long but worth it.
    2) The Fish that ate the Whale. About Samuel Zemurry and United Fruit and how New Orleans was at the center.
    3) The Earl of Louisiana. About Earl Long’ Last run for office. A wonderfully funny look at Louisiana politics in the late 1950’s and the protean figure of Earl Long.

    Thanks Winston.

I download books from the local library to my kindle and there are thousands to pick from. It's great to have suggestions

Sheesh dummy. Go to your local library and ask them for the goods. Oh and here is the trick, they loan it to you for 14 days then it drops off your kindle....unless you put it in airplane mode then it stays until you take it off.

No of course not, it's only a digital loan. When you turn off airplane mode the book goes away
